Quickboost 1:72 P-47D/P-47M Thunderbolt cowling with cooling flaps (closed)

This resin detail accessory in 1:72 scale replaces the engine cowling of the P-47 Thunderbolt fighter in the D and M versions, with the cowl flaps in the closed position. The casting brings a more faithful shape and fine flap edges that injection-molded plastic produces only with difficulty in this scale. It is not an aircraft kit but an accessory for superdetailing.

Use

  • Separate the part carefully from the casting block with a sharp knife or a saw.
  • Wash the mold release agent residue off it in lukewarm water with dish soap.
  • Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate).
  • Apply a primer suitable for resin before painting and check the fit against the fuselage.
