1:48 MiG-29K EXPERT kabuki masks is the most comprehensive level of the New Ware mask set for the carrier-based MiG-29K in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set 1:48 MiG-29K EXPERT kabuki masks is an accessory for painting a model, not a kit of the aircraft. The masking parts are cut from kabuki material, that is from the thin Japanese tape that shapes well into curves and leaves no adhesive residue on the finish once removed. New Ware marks the extent of its sets with the three levels BASIC, ADVANCED and EXPERT, EXPERT being the most comprehensive of them.
The carrier-based MiG-29K stems from the design of the land-based MiG-29, but for service on an aircraft carrier it went through extensive modification. It was given strengthened landing gear for hard landings onto arresting wires, an arrester hook, folding wing tips for room in the hangar and protection of the structure against salt water. It takes off over a short run from a ski jump and carries a wide range of stores for strikes against ground and surface targets. It is operated by the Russian and the Indian naval aviation.
The most extensive level of the series will be appreciated by modelers who build the MiG-29K in 1:48 scale and want the masking settled in one purchase, without adding further parts. It is suitable too for those who build modern jet aircraft often and acquire their mask sets straight away in the most complete version.
