A set of replacement tracks from Friulmodel in 1:35 scale. It is not a vehicle kit but an accessory with which you replace the tracks supplied with a kit. The designation names two applications: the half-track Opel Maultier and the Panzer I light tank in the Ausf. A and Ausf. B versions, whose running gear is closely related.
The Panzer I was a German light tank of the 1930s, originally conceived as a training and reconnaissance machine with machine gun armament. By the Second World War it was no longer adequate in combat, but its chassis served as the basis for further designs. The Opel Maultier came about during the war by converting a truck into a half-track vehicle, so that the army could cope with the conditions of the Eastern Front, where wheeled vehicles failed on muddy roads. That is exactly why the set covers both vehicles at once.
The set suits modelers who are not happy with the tracks from the original kit and want a more faithful shape of link and a natural sag. Working with it takes longer than with a part off a sprue, but the result tells above all on the visible sides of a model and in a diorama.
