About product

Landing flaps Boeing 737-200, 1:72, LACI

This set in cast resin lets the landing flaps of the wing be rendered in the extended position and used in place of the smoothly molded parts of a plastic kit. In the large 1:72 scale the detail of the mechanism and the structure of the flaps stands out. It is a sharpening accessory, not a standalone model.

The real subject

The Boeing 737-200 belonged to the original generation of the successful family of narrow-body airliners. Its marks were the long, slender engine nacelles with low-bypass turbofan engines mounted close under the wing. Extended flaps give a model the realistic look of an aircraft on approach or on the apron.

Building and painting tips

Wash the mold release residue off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and sand the surfaces lightly with respiratory protection. Line the castings up into the recesses in the wing and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue, filling the seams. Lay on a filler primer before painting and match the shades to the color scheme of the model.

Who the accessory is for

  • Modelers of airliners who want the flaps extended
  • Collectors of civil aviation in the large 1:72 scale
  • Builders with experience of resin parts

The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
