1:35 Pz IV Ausf E-G, Wirbelwind

Metal road wheels for the Pz IV Ausf. E-G and the Wirbelwind 1:35

This set of precisely cast white metal road wheels in 1:35 scale is intended for the middle versions of the Pz IV tank (Ausf. E to G) and for the derived Wirbelwind antiaircraft vehicle built on its chassis. The metal castings have a sharply rendered pressed disc and rubber tire and replace the plastic parts from the model; the weight of the metal gives the running gear solidity. The manufacturer is Friulmodel, a specialist in metal wheels and tracks.

Use and painting

Clean flash and casting residue off the wheels and fit them onto the axles of the running gear; they are glued with super glue (cyanoacrylate). For better paint adhesion, spray the metal with a primer suitable for metal or blacken it chemically. Match the discs to the shade of the vehicle and the rubber tires to dark gray, and at the end add dust, mud and wear on the contact surfaces.

Who the set is for

• Modelers building the middle versions of the Pz IV and the Wirbelwind in 1:35
• Anyone after wheels more faithful and more robust than plastic ones
• Builders focused on superdetailing the running gear

This is a metal accessory for a model, not a complete kit. Paints, glue and the base model are not included in the package.
