This is not a kit but a photo-etched detail set. Thin metal parts replace features that cannot be made from plastic at a matching thickness in 1:72 scale, and so they move a model of the German Focke-Wulf Fw 190 A-8 fighter in the R-11 version closer to the real thing. The set is cut for the Revell kit. The particular contents of the fret and the number of parts are given on the box of the set.
The Focke-Wulf Fw 190 A-8 was the most widespread variant of the A series, with a radial engine, heavy armament and a reputation as a tough machine. The designation R-11 belonged to the so-called Rüstsätze, that is equipment kits fitted to aircraft already built. The R-11 set turned the Fw 190 into a machine for night and adverse weather conditions: radar equipment, heated glazing and additional navigation gear were added. The use of these aircraft was tied to the defense of German airspace in the last phase of the war.
Cut the photo-etch on a hard surface with a knife or special shears, and never break it out, because thin parts deform easily. Make the bends in a bender or at least between two blades, so that the edges are sharp and precise. Degrease the metal surface before painting and use a primer intended for metal, otherwise the paint rubs off during handling. Glue the parts with super glue applied in a really small amount, ideally with a pin or a piece of wire. Leave the parts that are to stay glossy or metallic until the end, so that they do not pick up paint from the surrounding surfaces.
