A separate 1:72 A-4E/F Skyhawk canopy from the Geronimo72Art brand. An accessory for a model of the carrier-based attack aircraft, not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is not a model of an airplane but a separate accessory: a canopy, that is the cover of the pilot's compartment, for the Douglas A-4 Skyhawk in the E and F versions in 1:72 scale from the Geronimo72Art brand. On an airframe as small as the Skyhawk the cabin makes up a large part of the silhouette, so every inaccuracy on it shows. The material and the form of the part can be found on the packaging of the set.
Ed Heinemann designed the Douglas A-4 Skyhawk as a deliberately small and light carrier-based attack aircraft. The delta wing came out so short that it did not have to fold, which saved weight as well as space on deck, and the machine earned the nickname Scooter because of it. The A-4E version received the more powerful J52 engine and five pylons instead of three. The A-4F is recognized at first glance by the hump with avionics behind the cabin. Skyhawks carried the main burden of the attack tasks of the US Navy over Vietnam, and in other air forces they served for long decades afterwards.
Fit the cabin onto a finished and painted interior; through a closed canopy you will not get inside any more. Mask the frames with strips of masking and spray them in two steps, first the shade of the interior, then the outer color. Handle the part by the edges; fingerprints are hard to remove from a smooth surface.
