1:32 2 x Ejection seat KK-1 is a detailing set of ejection seats of the KK-1 type for models in 1:32 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A replacement for the seats in the cockpit of a large aircraft model. The name states a pair of seats, so the goods will cover either two projects under construction, or you keep one aside as a reserve in case the painting does not come off. A model of an aircraft is not included.
The KK-1 is a Soviet ejection seat of the first generation of the jet era. It appears in the cockpits of the MiG-15 fighter, of its successor the MiG-17 and also of the Aero L-29 Delfin trainer, that is, in machines that were the backbone of training as well as of the armament in Eastern Europe for decades. The design is simple compared with later seats and during ejection the pilot had to separate from the seat himself, which is clearly apparent in the shaping of the backrest as well as in the arrangement of the controls.
In 1:32 scale the seat is large enough to carry layered paint. The base is formed by the darker metallic shade of the airframe structure, a dry brush for accentuating the edges comes on top of it, and finally a spot accentuation of the padding. It is precisely the padding that is conspicuous in Soviet cockpits and it is worth devoting separate time to it. Assemble the cockpit dry beforehand, so that you know how much room the seat really takes up.
