An accessory in cast resin which replaces the pilot's seat in the cockpit of a model of the A-1 Skyraider in the large 1:32 scale. The belts are cast together with the seat, so assembling photo-etched parts falls away and yet a naturally falling shape comes out. Quickboost is an add-on range of the Czech maker Aires focused on small parts that can be used quickly.
The A-1 Skyraider was a single-engine attack aircraft with a piston engine, which thanks to its great load-carrying capacity and long endurance stayed in service even in the era of jets. The cockpit is fairly roomy and in 1:32 scale it is easily seen into through the slid-back canopy, so the seat makes up the dominant element of the interior.
Cut the seat off the casting block with a saw, sand the mating surface and verify the seating in the cockpit dry. After washing free of mold release agent, apply a primer. Paint the shell and the belts separately; the belts will come into their own if after the base shade they are treated with a dark wash and the edges are brought out with a dry brush. It pays to touch the buckles in spots with a metal shade; in this scale they are clearly visible. Glue the seat in with superglue only after the paints in the cockpit are finished and dry.
This is an accessory to a build, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
