A richly equipped kit in 1:32 scale from the Czech manufacturer Special Hobby. The Hi-Tech designation means that extras for maximum detail are added to the basic injection-molded plastic: photo-etched parts, resin and 3D-printed components and masking templates for the glazing. The kit makes it possible to build US Navy and Marine Corps variants. Paints and glue are not included.
The Bell AH-1 Cobra was the first purpose-built attack helicopter in the world. The AH-1G version, used among other things during the war in Vietnam, had a narrow fuselage with two seats one behind the other, armament in a nose turret and on the wing racks (guns, unguided rocket pods). Its slender silhouette and high agility made the Cobra a classic of army aviation.
On a helicopter, give attention to the main and tail rotors and to the extensively glazed cockpit; the masks supplied make clean frames easier. Wash the resin and 3D-printed parts free of the mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Glue the plastic parts with liquid cement and apply primer before the airbrush. The interior and the turret deserve attention before the fuselage is closed.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
