1:32 AH-64A Apache is a 3D textured set of instrument panels from Red Fox Studio on decal paper. It is laid into the cockpit by soaking in water, like a decal, not by gluing a part.
Responsibility details are not available.
A Red Fox Studio accessory for a model of the attack helicopter in 1:32 scale. The instrument panels are printed in color, with a relief texture, and carried on decal paper: the panel is soaked off, slid onto the base and held by the decal's own adhesive. It is not a photo-etched part and not a resin casting.
The Apache has two stations one behind the other, divided by a transparent bulkhead, and each of them is equipped differently. The weapon systems officer sits in front, the pilot behind and higher up, so the two panels differ both in layout and in what can be seen of them through the glazing. The A version is the older one, dominated by classic analog gauges — later versions have a cockpit built around screens, so the panels are not interchangeable. The glazing is made up of flat framed panes, and thanks to them the interior reads well from the side.
The order of work here revolves around that bulkhead between the cockpits. Both panels have to be finished and the print dry before you glue the bulkhead in, otherwise you cannot reach the front cockpit. Glue the clear parts only with a cement meant for canopies — fumes from cyanoacrylate would fog both a fresh print and the glazing. Paint the interior completely first, let it cure and degrease it; sand away coarsely molded dials under the print. Lay the panels in one session so that they dry for the same length of time.
This is an accessory for a kit, not a model of the helicopter. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise. Check before ordering that it matches the kit and the version of the machine you are building.
