AV-8B Harrier II wheel bays 1:32 by Aires — a resin detail set of the landing gear bays for building the AV-8B attack aircraft in 1:32 scale. An accessory for the kit, not an airplane model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin detail set of the landing gear bays in 1:32 scale from Aires. It replaces the simplified bays of the base kit with faithfully cast compartments carrying the structure of the ribs, piping and wiring of the AV-8B Harrier II. It is an accessory for advanced modelers that raises the realism of the landing gear bays. It is not a standalone airplane model.
The AV-8B Harrier II was an American short take-off and vertical landing (STOVL) attack aircraft with a Rolls-Royce Pegasus engine and vectored thrust. It was flown mainly by the US Marine Corps for close air support. Because of the vectoring nozzle layout it had an unusual tandem arrangement of the main landing gear with outrigger wheels at the wingtips.
Wash the mold release agent off the resin parts, cut off the casting blocks and clean up the surfaces with respiratory protection. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Spray the bays in a base shade, then bring out the structure of the piping and ribs with a wash and a light dry brush. Check the fit in the particular 1:32 kit.
This is a resin accessory for a kit, not an airplane model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
