Responsibility details are not available.
A finely detailed 3D-printed resin set of the Bentley BR2 rotary engine in 1:32 scale from GasPatch models. The set is meant for experienced modelers and serves as a faithful replacement for or addition to the engine of injection-molded kits of British First World War aircraft. It is not a stand-alone aircraft model - you add the engine to a kit of your own in the same scale. The parts are printed in dark gray resin and carry very fine detail including the valve gear.
The Bentley BR2 was a British nine-cylinder rotary engine of the end of the First World War, developed from the BR1 type. Among other aircraft it powered the late Sopwith machines - the famous Sopwith Snipe fighter. On a rotary engine the whole cylinder block turned with the propeller around a fixed crankshaft.
First wash the parts free of any uncured resin residue, cut the print supports off carefully and clean them up with respiratory protection. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Apply a primer before painting, which reveals the surface; metallic shades and fine washes will bring out the structure of the cylinders and the valve gear.
This is a detail resin set, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
