A set of photo-etched metal parts for a model of the Messerschmitt Bf 109 K-4 in 1:32 scale. It is meant for the Kotare kit, so the parts fit the shapes of that particular model.
The Bf 109 K-4 is the last production version of the German Bf 109 fighter, deployed in the closing stage of the Second World War. Power comes from the inverted V12 DB 605 engine, and the armament is a cannon firing through the propeller hub and two machine guns above the engine. The K version is recognized by its taller rudder, its retractable tailwheel and its revised engine cowlings. In 1:32 scale the model is large enough for every detail to show, and that is exactly why etched parts pay off on it.
Etched metal has a thickness that a plastic part cannot have, because it has to come out of a mold. The instrument panel, the seat belts, buckles, consoles, grilles and small plates therefore look more faithful once replaced, and in the cockpit it shows at first glance.
For builders who want to take a large Bf 109 all the way to the detail. The scope of the package and the number of parts are stated by the manufacturer in the instructions.
The aircraft kit, paints and glue are not included in the set, unless stated otherwise.
