A resin detail set from the Aires company in 1:32 scale. It is not an aircraft model but a complete cockpit interior for a matching Messerschmitt Bf 109E-1 kit. The castings bring a faithful instrument panel, side consoles, a seat and other details that plastic parts usually only suggest.
The Messerschmitt Bf 109E, nicknamed Emil, is the key German fighter of the early Second World War and of the Battle of Britain. It was powered by the liquid-cooled Daimler-Benz DB 601 engine. The E-1 version was one of the early production standards, with mixed machine gun armament.
Wash the parts to remove mold release residue, separate them from the casting blocks and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Protect your airways when sanding resin. The interior comes into its own once the base shade is painted, the instruments are picked out and a wash is run into the recesses; a dry brush will bring the small placards to life.
This is an accessory resin set, not a stand-alone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
