The resin detail set Quickboost barrel of the central gun for the Bf 109G in 1:32 scale replaces the plastic barrel of the engine-mounted cannon with a precise casting.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin detail set from the Quickboost brand in 1:32 scale. It is not an airplane model but a replacement barrel of the central, that is engine-mounted, gun for a matching kit of the German Messerschmitt Bf 109G fighter. The slender resin, or in some cases combined, casting has a sharp and straight mouth, which arises from plastic only with difficulty, and it is seated in the propeller hub in place of the plastic part. The set is meant for more experienced modelers.
The Messerschmitt Bf 109G, nicknamed Gustav, was one of the most widespread versions of this German fighter of the Second World War. Besides the guns on the cowling it carried the so-called engine-mounted cannon, whose barrel ran through the axis of the engine and fired through the propeller hub. The mouth of this gun protruding from the spinner is a clearly visible feature of the subject.
Wash the part free of mold release residue, separate it carefully from the casting block and glue it with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Protect your airways when sanding resin. The barrel comes into its own once it is painted in a metallic shade and the mouth is blackened lightly.
This is an add-on resin part, not a stand-alone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
