A precise turned metal accessory for models in 1:32 scale fitted with the Browning M2 aircraft machine gun of .50 cal (12.7 mm). The package holds two turned brass barrels with a finely drilled cooling jacket. It is not an aircraft model but a detail replacement part. This weapon was among the basic armament of practically all American and many Allied fighters and bombers.
The metal barrels have a sharp muzzle with no parting seams, a clean bore and a faithful perforated cooling jacket that plastic cannot achieve. They are also perfectly straight and more resistant to bending. In the large 1:32 scale, where the detail of the armament is clearly visible, the difference against plastic is especially marked.
Cut off the plastic barrel, drill a hole in the remaining part and glue the metal barrel in with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The fitting is easy and quick.
This is an add-on detail set, not a complete kit. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
