AIMS 1:32 de Havilland Vampire F.3, FB.5 and FB.9 Collection is a decal set with color schemes of the British Vampire jet fighter in 1:32 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A collection of waterslide (wet) decals from the maker AIMS with color schemes of the British de Havilland Vampire jet fighter in the F.3, FB.5 and FB.9 versions, in 1:32 scale. It is not a kit and not photo-etch but a set of markings and national insignia for finishing a model.
The de Havilland Vampire belonged to the first generation of British jet fighters. The F.3 version was purely a fighter, the FB.5 and FB.9 versions were fighter-bombers, with the FB.9 given equipment for tropical conditions. The Vampire served with the Royal Air Force and with a number of other air forces in the postwar period.
The decals are cut out individually, soaked in lukewarm water for a few seconds and slid off the backing onto a glossy, clean surface. For adhesion into details, decal softeners help; once dry, the model is gone over with a matte or semi-gloss varnish.
The set holds decals only, not a model, glue or paints.
