A decal with double rows of raised rivets running in a circle, 1:32 scale. It returns to the surface of a model the riveting lost to sanding and filling.
Responsibility details are not available.
Rivets disappear from a model every time it is sanded. After a fuselage joint is filled, after a leading edge is leveled or after excess material is cleaned up, a smooth surface is left, and with it the riveting that was originally there is gone. This sheet brings it back. It carries raised rivets arranged in double rows running in a circle, that is exactly the form that appears on a real aircraft around engine cowlings, at circular flanges and around caps and openings.
It is a true wet decal. Cut the length of row you need out of the sheet, dip it in water for a few seconds and let it rest until it releases from the backing paper. Slide the decal onto a glossy surface, align it with a soft brush and draw off the excess water with a piece of paper towel, but do not press, so that the rivets are not squashed. A decal softener will help the row adhere to a curved surface; apply it lightly and do not touch the decal until it is dry.
The base should be glossy and smooth; on matte paint a white veil will appear under the decal. Measure the length of the row dry before dipping and rather cut it into shorter sections, which are led into a curve more easily than one long strip. Once dry, go over the decal with varnish and only then set about the wash and the picking out. The paint catches on the edges of the rivets, so even a light dry brush brings them out.
For modelers in 1:32 scale who are restoring surface detail after sanding or adding riveting to older kits. The kit, paints and decal softener are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
