Eduard Brassin F-104 MB.7 ejection seat 1:32 is a resin detail accessory for models of the Lockheed F-104 Starfighter fighter. It replaces the plastic seat with a faithful copy of the Martin-Baker Mk.7.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin set from the Brassin line by Eduard in 1:32 scale. It is not a model of the aircraft, but a detail accessory that puts a faithful replica of the Martin-Baker Mk.7 (MB.7) ejection seat into the cockpit of the Starfighter. That seat was used on some Starfighters in place of the original Lockheed seat.
Compared with the original design, the Martin-Baker Mk.7 seat had a different shell shape and a different layout of straps and survival equipment. The resin casting captures these details finely and crisply, so an open cockpit gains a realistic look that injection-molded plastic cannot offer. On the glazed cockpit of the Starfighter, the seat is one of the most exposed places to the eye.
Wash any mold release agent off the parts, cut off the casting blocks with a sharp tool and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. Use cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) for gluing. Paint with an airbrush and finish the straps and loops with a brush.
This is a detail accessory, not a model in its own right. It calls for a matching base kit. Glue and paints are not included in the package.
