Quinta Studio 1:32 F-104S brings a fully colored cockpit interior for a large model of the Italian Starfighter. Target kit: Italeri.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set from Quinta Studio is aimed at the cockpit of the Italian-built Starfighter in a large scale. It offers surfaces rendered in color with relief, so a modeler does not have to embark on hand painting the tiny scales, switches and markings in the narrow space of a single-seat cockpit. The decals are shaped to the parts of the Italeri kit.
The F-104S was an Italian development version of the Lockheed F-104 Starfighter, built under license by the domestic firm Aeritalia. Against the earlier forms it received a more powerful engine of the J79 series and, above all, the ability to carry medium-range guided missiles, which turned it into an interceptor usable in any weather. With its thin trapezoidal wing and slender fuselage it served with the Italian Air Force for several decades and became one of its hallmarks.
The cockpit space of the Starfighter is narrow and deep, so it pays to finish it before the fuselage halves are brought together. Tweezers with soft jaws, a steady hand and a running check that the fitted surfaces nowhere keep the parts from closing all help. A darker shade on the walls around the panels will deepen the space visually and the small details will then stand out.
