The F-15 is a large twin-engine fighter on which access to the equipment is handled by sizeable hinged panels along the sides of the forward fuselage. It is precisely the open panels with a view into the innards of the aircraft that are most on view on an F-15 on the ground, and on a closed model that part is lost altogether.
The set renders the left avionics bay with all its walls and internal fit so that it can be displayed open on a model. It is intended for the F-15 kits from Tamiya in 1:32 scale, to which both the shape and the seating of the parts are adapted. The name lists it under the Master designation.
The parts are not polystyrene and are bonded with super glue. Cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the remainder down so that the mating surfaces stay flat. Wash and degrease the parts before painting. Count on the surface of the kit fuselage being reworked according to the instructions, so try the set dry first and only then cut. It works well to spray the inside in a uniform light shade, pick it out with a dark wash and set the individual blocks of equipment apart with accents of color. The particular procedure is given in the manufacturer's instructions.
The set belongs to modelers who are building a large F-15 with open panels and want something to show beneath them. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
