The set from the maker Kits-World is a full-color decal with a three-dimensional layer for the instrument panel of a Fighting Falcon kit in 1:32 scale. The displays are printed as inactive, so the model corresponds to an aircraft without power. The relief of the layer creates the impression of separate instruments sunk into the panel and it is finished considerably faster than hand-painting and varnishing the individual dials.
The F-16 version C in the Block 50 build standard is a single-seat multirole aircraft with an engine of the F110 series. The cockpit is renowned for its good view thanks to the bubble canopy and for its controls with a side-mounted stick. The instrument panel combines multifunction displays with a few backup round instruments. Precisely because the canopy is so clean, on a model in 1:32 the cockpit is visible practically in full.
Sand the panel on the kit smooth, spray it with a dark shade and varnish it with a gloss varnish. Transfer the set with a minimum of water and seat it by pressure from a soft cloth, not by sliding. Apply the softener drop by drop and let it work; a relief layer is more sensitive than an ordinary decal and brushing over it will ripple it. Once it has dried, apply the matte varnish to the surroundings of the panel, not to the glasses of the instruments. Given how well the cockpit of the Fighting Falcon is seen under the canopy, it pays off to work up the side consoles and the seat as well, so that the detail of the panel is not left on its own.
A variant with active displays and further very similar sets in other scales also exist for the same aircraft; tell them apart by the exact designation. This is an accessory for a kit, not a model on its own; a kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
