This plastic kit in 1:35 scale from the maker Roden captures the German Vomag 8 LR (LKW) heavy truck of the period of the Second World War. The model reproduces the robust cab, the cargo bed and the chassis with the drivetrain and is suitable both for display on its own and as the basis for a diorama.
Vomag was a German maker of trucks and buses; the 8 LR type was one of the heavy trucks used for supply and for carrying loads. During the war similar heavy trucks served for the logistic support of units in the rear areas as well as closer to the front, and they represent a less usual and all the more interesting theme for collectors.
Paint the chassis and the engine assembly before the body and the cab are put together. Glue the joints with a liquid cement for plastic and spray the fine parts with a base color first. Apply the basic shade with an airbrush and bring the cargo bed and the frame to life with washes and dust pigments. Mud effects on the wheels and the chassis will give the vehicle a convincing field look.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
