Armory 1:32 F-104A/C Starfighter, early type wheels is a resin accessory with weighted tires and with optional nose wheels for Starfighter models in 1:32 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is an accessory to a kit, not a model of the aircraft. The set contains early type resin wheels for F-104A and F-104C models in 1:32 scale, with weighted tires and with optional nose wheels, so the package holds nose wheel variants from which you choose according to the machine you are building. The choice is made before gluing, so it pays to have documentation for the given aircraft at hand.
The F-104 is a single-seat single-engined aircraft with a very thin straight wing of small span and a slender fuselage, designed with the emphasis on speed and rate of climb. The A and C versions are among the early forms and differ in equipment and details from the later export variants. Because of the thin wing the landing gear on this type is fairly short and the wheels are clearly visible on a model.
First choose the nose wheel variant and put the other away safely: once cut off and painted it cannot be put back. Beforehand, wash the mold release agent off the castings and cut the casting blocks off so that the cut avoids the contact surface. It is glued with cyanoacrylate, and the gel variant gives time to align the position. With weighted tires, make sure the flattened part points downwards and the model stands straight on all three points. Bring out the hub with a light wash in the recesses so that it does not stay flat.
The accessory is supplied unpainted, as resin castings. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
