This set is not an aircraft model but an aftermarket upgrade for a plastic kit. It contains cast resin parts with which you replace the simplified landing gear bays from the box with faithfully detailed spaces full of lines, ribs and structure. The set is intended for the injection-molded F-16I Sufa model in 1:32 scale (the Academy kit).
The F-16I Sufa (Hebrew for storm) is the Israeli two-seat version of the F-16 fighter with extended range and expanded avionics. The landing gear bays are among the places where plastic parts offer only a rough suggestion; the resin set replaces them with crisply cast structure that, once painted and washed, noticeably enlivens the view of the model from below.
First separate the parts from the casting blocks with a fine saw or a knife and wash them to remove mold release residue. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Count on fine-tuning the fit and possibly reworking the plastic parts of the kit; protect your airways when sanding resin. It is worth painting and shading the bays before the underside of the fuselage is closed up.
This is an add-on set, not a standalone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
