A replacement exhaust nozzle for a model of the F-35 Lightning II in 1:32 scale, intended for the kit from Italeri.
Responsibility details are not available.
The F-35 Lightning II is an American single-engine multirole combat airplane built with the emphasis on reduced observability. It is produced in three versions that differ in their method of takeoff and landing and in their internal arrangement, but share a common airframe basis. The exhaust nozzle is a conspicuous item on a finished model: it is visible from behind as well as from the side, and its shape and internal division are among the things everybody notices on a model.
The set brings a replacement exhaust nozzle for the F-35 Lightning II kit in 1:32 scale from Italeri. It replaces the part from the kit and brings a finer shape and division than can be achieved in the base part. The exact contents of the package and the procedure for seating it are given in the instructions included by the manufacturer.
The parts are not polystyrene, so cement for plastic models has no effect on them; use cyanoacrylate glue or a two-part epoxy. Cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the remainder down carefully, so that the seating face stays level. Wash and degrease the parts before painting and lay down a primer. A nozzle is a rewarding part to paint in metal shades supplemented with heat discoloration toward the lip.
Before building, check in the manufacturer's instructions which version of the airplane and which release of the kit the nozzle belongs to. With a part that seats into the rear of the fuselage it pays to check that before you close the fuselage up.
The airplane model, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
