Wheels with tires flattened under load for the mid-form F-4 Phantom II in 1:32 scale is a resin accessory set from the Armory brand.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set belongs among accessories; it is not a kit of the aircraft. It contains wheels cast in resin whose tires are shaped with the settling where they touch the ground, and according to the name it is tied to the mid production period. The manufacturer is Armory. The number of parts in the package and the rest of its contents are not stated here.
Armory offers several sets of wheels for the Phantom divided by production period, and this one covers the middle stage. The division has a practical reason: the wheels on the aircraft changed over the production run. It therefore pays to start from photographs of the particular machine you want to build and only then reach for the matching set. That works better than choosing by the version of the aircraft in the name of the kit, because individual machines went through modifications.
Wash the castings in lukewarm water with a drop of dish soap and let them dry. Cut the casting block off with a fine saw drawn in a smooth stroke, not with pressure from a knife; resin is hard and cracks when bent. Level the remaining stub on sanding paper laid on a flat board and keep trying the fit on the landing gear leg, so that no gap is left between them. Turn the wheel with the settled part of the tire facing down and stand the finished model on glass so that you can see it stands without rocking. It is glued with cyanoacrylate and painted over a thin primer in thin coats.
The accessory is supplied unpainted and unassembled. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
