A modeling paint from the Orange Line range by Hataka, carried under the designation HTK-C069. The name defines it as a subdued green tone shifted toward gray and sand, and it refers to the American federal color standard, item FS 34201. The reference to the standard is valuable when building: it lets you compare the shade with documentation and with the paints of other ranges. Judge the resulting cast by the color chart of the manufacturer; the rendering on a monitor always differs somewhat from a dried coat.
Subdued gray-green tones tend to be the base area on a model, onto which the darker and lighter fields of the camouflage only then arrive. They are useful outside camouflage as well, on crates of materiel, on tarpaulins, on the equipment of figures and on accessories for dioramas. On a large area such a shade looks livelier when you build it up in layers: lift the center of a panel with a drop of a lighter tone and leave the edges darker.
The transition to the neighboring camouflage field looks more natural when it is not sharp: spray from a greater distance and at lower pressure, or help yourself with a mask whose edge is raised off the surface. Work in a ventilated space.
One bottle of paint is supplied. Thinner, brushes and airbrushes are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
