A resin detail set from the Aires company in 1:32 scale. It is not an aircraft model but a pair of faithful exhaust nozzles for a matching Phantom II kit. The castings capture the fine structure of the petals and the interior of the nozzles, which plastic parts usually simplify.
The McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II is an American twin-engine supersonic fighter and one of the most important combat aircraft of the Cold War. The E, J and S versions were powered by J79 turbojets with their characteristic petal nozzles. The Phantom served with the US Air Force, the US Navy and the US Marine Corps.
Wash the parts to remove mold release residue, separate them from the casting blocks and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Protect your airways when sanding resin. The nozzles come into their own once the metallic and scorched shades are painted and the petals are lightly brought out with a wash.
This is an accessory resin set, not a stand-alone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
