This detail set replaces the wheel bays (the landing gear compartments) of a model of the carrier-based Vought F-8 Crusader fighter aircraft in 1:32 scale with faithfully cast resin parts. This is not an aircraft model but an accessory for a kit for experienced modelers. The manufacturer is the Czech company Aires. The resin bays bring a rich structure of ribs, piping and rivets, which injection-molded plastic often simplifies.
The Vought F-8 Crusader was an American single-seat carrier-based supersonic fighter aircraft. The retractable landing gear folded into the fuselage and the wing, so open wheel bays are a clearly visible detail on a model.
Wash the mold release agent off the resin parts, cut off the casting blocks and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. Glue the parts with cyanoacrylate glue. It is advisable to paint the bays and give them a patina with a wash before fitting them.
This is a detail accessory, not a complete model. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
