Responsibility details are not available.
This die-cut self-adhesive Eduard masking set in 1:32 scale is meant for the plastic model of the American Grumman F6F Hellcat carrier fighter in the F6F-5 version. It is neither a kit nor a model of its own but a set of precisely shaped masks in thin yellow masking tape (kabuki). The masks will be appreciated by modelers who want sharp color divisions on the glazing, the wheels and the camouflage fields without lengthy cutting of tape by hand.
The Grumman F6F Hellcat is an American carrier fighter of the Second World War with the powerful Pratt & Whitney R-2800 radial engine. It was rugged, stood up well to hits and from 1943 became the main fighter weapon of the US Navy in the Pacific. The F6F-5 version was the most heavily produced and brought small aerodynamic improvements and strengthened armament.
Degrease the glazing of the sliding canopy and let it dry. Lift the masks off the backing, lay them on the frame of the windscreen and of the sliding section and press them into the edges. Spray the paint with an airbrush in thin coats. The wheel masks separate the tire from the hub. Once the paint has dried, peel the masks off carefully at a sharp angle so that the fresh layer is not torn away.
The package contains masks only. The model, paints, glue and decals are not included, unless stated otherwise.
