For this shade the manufacturer gives a straightforward purpose: grass and weeds that are drying out or getting ready for their winter rest are modeled with it. The material is a fine scatter supplied in a shaker with a sieve with a content of 945 cm³, which corresponds to 57.7 cubic inches. Dosing through a sieve is essential for this kind of work, because an even application of a thin layer by hand is hardly possible. The closure can be snapped shut, so the shaker is closed after the work and the material neither dries out nor spills.
The honey color suits views from the end of fall, neglected land, the edges of dumps and everywhere nobody looks after the greenery. It will also serve excellently to break up an area that is too fresh: a few irregular patches of a honey tone in a freshly green lawn lower the impression of artificiality at once. The layer should be thin and uneven, as a continuous application would look like a carpet. The boundary between a green and a honey area is left frayed, since a sharp division is not to be found in nature.
The area is coated with glue thinned with water, the scatter is spread through the sieve from a height of a few centimeters and the excess is knocked back into the shaker once dry. Do not repeat the application onto a damp area, as a second layer on glue that is not dry sticks together into lumps. The rest of the material can be returned to the package without loss.
