Responsibility details are not available.
A color photo-etched set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard meant for refining a model of the French fighter biplane SPAD XIII of the First World War in 1:48 scale. The set brings pre-printed color photo-etch as well as unpainted parts for the cockpit and other details, for instance the instrument panel, the belts and small cockpit equipment. It is not an aircraft model but a detail accessory; the base kit has to be bought separately.
The SPAD XIII was one of the best performing fighter biplanes of the First World War. It was powered by a Hispano-Suiza V-type engine and, thanks to a sturdy structure and good speed, a number of Allied aces took to it. Pilots of the French as well as the American air service flew it. The open cockpit with its instruments and equipment is an ideal place for photo-etched detail to show.
Snip the parts out of the fret and bend them precisely on a hard surface. The color photo-etch is glued with a drop of cyanoacrylate and it is not repainted, only secured with matte varnish as needed. The unpainted parts can be matched to the shade of the interior. Work with tweezers and with good lighting.
The accessory is supplied on its own. The model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
