F/A-18F early interior 1:32 (Quinta Studio)

A colored 3D printed set of interior detail on decal paper from Quinta Studio in 1:32 scale. The set raises the realism of the cockpit of the two-seat early version of the F/A-18F considerably. Raised 3D elements with the coloring already done replace both photo-etch and decals for the instrument panels and the side consoles, and fitting them is quick. The decals are shaped to fit the parts of the Trumpeter kit.

What the set contains and what it is for

These are 3D printed details with color printing on a carrier decal paper, which replace or supplement the instrument panels, the side consoles and other elements of the cockpit. They are not self-adhesive and have no adhesive layer of their own: the part slides off the paper after a dip in water. Thanks to the raised structure the instruments and the switches look three-dimensional, not like flat printing.

Use

• it is not an airplane model but an add-on for detailing the cockpit
• cut the part from the sheet, dip it in lukewarm water for about 15 seconds and slide it off the paper into place
• the element holds on a gloss coat (Future, Klear, Tamiya X-22), and on an uneven area a drop of cyanoacrylate glue helps
• do not use a decal softener or a decal setting solution, as their chemistry attacks the printed resin

For modelers who want to lift the interior of the two-seat F/A-18F and who appreciate realistic colored detail without the slow painting of instruments.

This is an add-on set, not a model in its own right. Paints, glue and the base kit are not included in the package.
