This is a colored decal set for the interior of a model in 1:32 scale, intended according to the name for the late form of the F/A-18F and for the EA-18G, and in the small version. It is not a kit nor a finished model, but an accessory that is applied to the finished and painted parts of the kit. The set is intended for the Trumpeter kit.
The F/A-18F is the two-seat variant of the Super Hornet. The EA-18G follows on from it technically and is a specialized machine for electronic warfare that kept the two-seat layout of the cockpit. That is exactly why a single decal set can cover both subjects. In 1:32 scale the area of both cockpits is large enough for colored detail to tell markedly.
The base has to be smooth and glossy. Brush a gloss clear coat over the painted part and let it cure thoroughly; on matte paint, air stays under the decal and its edge shows through silver. Release the decal in lukewarm water, place it, align it and blot the excess water away. On a contoured surface, press the element down with a cotton swab and let it dry without touching it; the manufacturer forbids a decal softener as well as a decal fixer. Once dry, unify the interior with a varnish in the degree of gloss you want.
The set replaces the flat parts of the kit with a colored print that gives an impression of depth, so painting the smallest details with a brush is no longer needed. Degrease the plastic before applying and sand down the coarser molded relief, so that the decal seats without bubbles.
The set is an accessory to a kit, not a standalone model. Paints, glue and gloss varnish are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
