A single figure by an aircraft tells only part of the story. Only a pair of figures creates a relationship - a conversation before takeoff, the handing over of a report, a shared look at the sky. The figure 1:32 Fighter Pilot 1914-1918 N°2 from the manufacturer Black Dog model is exactly such a second piece of the puzzle for the 1:32 scale.
If you already have one figure on the base, turn the new one so that the eyes of both meet or, on the contrary, clearly pass each other by. Both work, only each tells something different. Leave the free space between the figures rather larger; an overcrowded scene takes away from the prominence of the individual figures and the viewer does not know where to look first.
It has proved itself to paint a figure separately from the rest of the scene and to set it in only at the end. The legs have to be adapted to the surface in the process, so that the figure does not stand on tiptoe above the terrain. A small shadow at the place of contact with the ground and a little dust on the lower part of the clothing will do more for believability than the most careful detail higher up.
If you are building a scene for a display case with side lighting, try the turn of the figures under this light before gluing them. The shadow one figure casts on the other is able to deepen a composition markedly, but at an unlucky angle it hides the face in darkness instead.
