1:32 Firewoman N°2

1:32 Firewoman N°2 - the second pose of a firewoman

A figure of a firewoman in 1:32 scale from the brand Black Dog, designated as the second number of the sub-line. With pose number one it forms a pair, which the manufacturer offers as a shared set as well.

A pair as the basis of an incident scene

An incident is always teamwork, and that shows on a diorama at once. Two figures are able to suggest a division of tasks: one operates the hardware, the other heads for the place of the event. A different turn and a different height of gaze do more in the process than the best terrain - the scene starts to have a direction and the viewer sees where to look. That is why it pays to think of both poses as a whole.

The surroundings and the details around

A rescue scene is held together by the small things: a coiled and a run-out hose, cones, open lockers of the body, a wet area on the surface. It is exactly a glossy area left by water that is the effect which works outstandingly well with this scene and is yet easy to do - it is enough to apply a gloss preparation locally over a finished surface and leave the surroundings matte. Then place the figure at the boundary of the wet and dry areas, so that the surface is drawn into the action too. Lighting a display case from the side will serve just as well - long shadows across a wet area give an incident scene a tension that is otherwise hard to call up.
