Quickboost is an accessory line from Aires aimed at simple replacement parts that are fitted without major intervention in the model. The designation in the name suggests that it is a correction to the shape of the compass against the part in the base kit. The set is not a model of an aircraft; it is a single small part for a model already under way.
The Gloster Gladiator was a British single-seat biplane fighter of the second half of the 1930s, the last British biplane fighter in series production. It had an enclosed cockpit, which was untypical for biplanes of its day, and its instrument panel and navigation equipment are clearly visible on a model in 1:32 scale, because the cockpit is fairly open to a view from above.
Wash the part in warm water with detergent and remove release agent residue. Cut the casting block off with a sharp scalpel or a fine saw. With parts this small it pays to work over a tray with a raised edge, so that the casting is not lost. It is glued with cyanoacrylate, applied with a pin in a minimal amount. Begin painting with a primer, then a dark base for the body of the instrument and a light color on the dial. The glass can be suggested with a drop of gloss varnish or clear glue. Do not forget that the compass is fitted before the fuselage is closed and before the cockpit canopy goes on.
