GasPatch Models 1:32 Gnome 7 Lambda is a 3D-printed resin rotary engine for builders of models of aircraft from the beginning of the First World War.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is not an aircraft kit but a stand-alone, highly detailed resin engine in 1:32 scale for experienced modelers. The Gnome 7 Lambda is a French seven-cylinder rotary engine of the kind that powered a range of aircraft of the early era of aviation and the beginning of the First World War. The set is 3D printed from resin with a very fine rendering of the cylinders and the mechanical detail. The maker is the Greek brand GasPatch Models.
The Gnome Lambda was among the first successful rotary aircraft engines - a design with seven cylinders arranged in a star that turned together with the propeller around a fixed shaft. Gnome engines powered a whole generation of pioneering aircraft, so a faithful model suits prewar and early wartime types with an uncovered front end.
Wash the parts free of mold release agent residue and separate them carefully from the thin print supports. Glue with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The engine comes alive with metallic shades, rubbing and a wash settled into the recesses between the cylinders. Sand resin with respiratory protection.
The engine is supplied unassembled and unpainted as a resin kit. Glue, paints and the base aircraft model are not included in the package.
