1:32 Gnome-Rhone 14K is a detailing power unit for aircraft models in 1:32 scale, a French two-row radial fourteen.
Responsibility details are not available.
An engine accessory for large aircraft models of the interwar era. What is on offer here is a power unit for detailing a machine in progress, not a model of an aircraft.
The Gnome-Rhone 14K, carrying the byname Mistral Major, is an air-cooled engine with fourteen cylinders arranged in two radial banks one behind the other. It came about at the beginning of the 1930s and the French marque sold it abroad very successfully, so it was built under license in Poland, Romania, Italy, Japan and in the Soviet Union, where a whole development branch of its own grew out of it. That is exactly why you will meet its characteristic double bank on machines that otherwise have nothing in common with each other, from fighters to transport airplanes.
The two-row arrangement means that the rear bank of cylinders will be largely invisible once the cowling is on, so devote the main attention to the front bank and to the drives. Liven up the metal base with a light show-through of a darker color between the fins and polish the cylinder heads with graphite. Suggest oil traces with a stippled thinned dark shade, not with a continuous layer.
