This is a resin (3D printed) detail set from Art Scale, not an aircraft kit. The package holds two Martin-Baker GRU-7A ejection seats of the early version, including modeled restraint belts, intended to replace the seats from the base kit of the two-seat F-14 Tomcat in 1:32 scale.
The GRU-7A was the Martin-Baker ejection seat used in the American carrier-based Grumman F-14 Tomcat fighter. The fine 3D printed rendering faithfully captures the shape of the shell, the ejection handles and the texture of the belts, all of which are very visible in the cockpit.
Wash the parts free of print resin residue, separate them carefully from the print supports and glue them with super glue. Wear respiratory protection while sanding. The recommended sequence is a primer, a dark shade for the shell and separate colors for the belts and the cushions, then a dry brush and a fine wash to bring out the detail.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
