The 1:32 Hawker Tempest Mk.V masking set (outside and inside) from Montex is an accessory for a plastic kit you already own, not a model. It holds self-adhesive templates for spraying the frames of the cockpit canopy.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of self-adhesive templates for masking the glazing in the large 1:32 scale. It is not a model, but an accessory for a kit. In this scale every inaccuracy in the framing shows at first glance, so precisely cut masks matter more than in smaller scales. According to the name, the set holds masks for the outside and the inside of the glazing.
The Hawker Tempest Mk.V was a British fighter of the end of the Second World War. It was derived from the previous type, but received a new wing with a thinner section and a powerful H-24 engine, which made it one of the fastest piston machines of its day at low altitude. The bubble cockpit canopy with few frames gave a good view and is one of the identifying features of the type.
A bubble canopy is shaped into a double curve, so a mask must not be stuck to it stretched. Set it first along one edge of the frame, only then press the rest down, and smooth out any rippling with a blunt tool. If the film forms a small fold on the curve, it is better to take it off and apply it again than to cut through it. Before painting, it helps to seat the canopy on a hollow support so that it does not flex under pressure.
The set is an accessory for a plastic kit. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
