An add-on set in metal intended for models of the Henschel Hs 129 attack aircraft in 1:32 scale. It is not an aircraft model or a complete landing gear set, but a replacement for the load-bearing struts of the main landing gear, which in a plastic kit come molded in plastic. The metal version has greater strength and stiffness than plastic, which in a large scale is decisive: a finished 1:32 model is heavy and plastic legs tend to bow over time, especially if the model stands in a cabinet for a long time or is moved often. The Henschel Hs 129 was a German twin-engine single-seat attack and anti-tank aircraft of the Second World War period. It was characterized by a narrow fuselage of triangular cross-section, a heavily armored forward section and a very cramped pilot's cockpit. The landing gear was of the conventional arrangement, with the main legs retracting into the engine nacelles.
Degrease the metal parts with alcohol or mineral spirits before gluing, or the paint will not hold. They are bonded with cyanoacrylate glue, ideally a gel one, which gives you time to set the angle. A primer intended for metal is advisable before painting, and only then apply the covering color. Fit them only once the fuselage and the nacelles are finished, so that the model is not handled by the completed landing gear. Test dry how the legs sit in their sockets — metal is harder to fit than plastic, so do any further sanding in the socket on the model, not on the metal part.
The accessory is supplied unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
