A set of resin exhaust stubs for the dive bomber and ground-attack aircraft Junkers Ju 87G in 1:32 scale by the manufacturer Quickboost. It is a precisely cast replacement for the exhausts in the side panels of the engine cowling, not a standalone aircraft model. The detail part replaces the coarser exhausts from the base kit and gives them a more faithful shape, including drilled openings.
The Ju 87G was the anti-tank version of the famous Stuka, committed mainly to the Eastern Front in the later part of the Second World War. It was powered by the inverted V12 Junkers Jumo 211 engine, whose exhaust gases were carried away by short side exhaust stacks along the sides of the cowling. This set reproduces those stubs more sharply and with open openings, which looks more realistic than a solid part from an injection mold.
Resin parts call for more careful work: wash them free of mold release agent, separate them carefully from the casting block (the gate) and glue them with cyanoacrylate; protect your airways when sanding. Paint the exhausts with a combination of rust, dark metal and burnt steel shades and complete them with weathered pigment and soot marks toward the rear, so that they look worn by use.
The part is supplied as a resin accessory, unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
