A sheet of waterslide decals in 1:48 scale devoted to the single-engined Henschel Hs 123 biplane in the A-1 and B-1 versions. The package contains only the sheet of markings; it is an accessory with which a model already built and painted is finished.
The Hs 123 was an all-metal biplane with a fixed undercarriage and a radial engine, brought into service in the mid-1930s as a dive bomber. In practice it proved itself chiefly in the role of direct support for ground units and, thanks to its toughness and its ability to operate from improvised strips, it stayed in use considerably longer than had originally been expected. The B-1 version was a more powerful development of the basic form.
Biplanes often carry dark or richly colored surfaces, and it is precisely on these that the covering quality of a decal shows. Light markings on a saturated base may show through; it helps to lay the decal onto a lighter backing patch or to use two decals over one another, if the sheet allows. Always try one less conspicuous piece on a hidden area first. The base has to be glossy and perfectly degreased; grease from fingers makes the decal hold only apparently, and it comes away once the model is matted.
This is a standalone decal sheet. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
