These waterslide decals for the large scale offer six complete sets of markings, each for a different particular machine. Besides fuselage codes and unit insignia the sheet also carries national insignia, so an aircraft can be finished without piecing things together with the leftovers from the kit box.
The Ju 88 entered service in 1939 as a fast bomber and gradually turned into a whole family. The A series stayed a bomber, the C series was given a solid metal nose with gun armament and served as a heavy and a night fighter, and the D version carried camera bays for long-range reconnaissance. It is precisely this breadth that makes the type a rewarding subject, because one set of tooling yields a different aircraft every time. Production ran practically to the end of the war and the type became the most numerous German bomber, which was reflected in the variety of markings met on the machines.
Smooth the surface under the decals with a gloss varnish, or a matte silvering will appear under the carrier film. Long fuselage codes settle more readily if you divide them along the panel lines and help yourself with a decal softener. Once dry, unify the surface with a matte clear coat, and only then set about the weathering.
