A jack with a capacity of 15 tons for German Second World War vehicles in 1:35 scale is a sturdy detailing accessory from the AMMO of Mig Jimenez brand for heavier tracked vehicles. It is not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The accessory in 1:35 scale represents a mechanical jack of the heavy class, of the kind German vehicles carried on the hull or on a fender in steel clamps. The package contains no vehicle — it is a single detail intended for finishing a model from another kit or for a diorama.
On a vehicle the jack was exposed to everything that worked on the machine: rain, mud from the tracks, dust from the roads and mechanical abrasion during loading and unloading. It therefore never looked like a freshly painted part. That is exactly the quality worth showing on a model, because working tooling in an obviously used state immediately reveals that the vehicle is not straight out of the factory.
Apply the base in the color of the vehicle thinly, so that the edges stay legible. Make the rubbed spots dry with a piece of foam dipped in a dark steel shade and wiped almost dry — in spots on the edges, on the lever and on the foot, not over the whole surface. Create rust by stippling a dark brown and only once it has dried spread it with a damp brush in a downward direction, so that short streaks appear. Add dust and mud with pigment right at the end and fix it only in spots, otherwise it loses its matte, powdery look. Do the whole procedure separately away from the model and glue the finished part on last.
The accessory is supplied unpainted, without paints, pigments and glue, unless stated otherwise.
