A resin detail set from Quickboost in 1:32 scale. It is not an airplane model, but a set of replacement exhaust stacks for a matching kit of the German Junkers Ju 88A-1 bomber. The resin castings have hollowed outlets and fine edges that are hard to achieve from a split plastic mold, and they are fitted along the sides of the engine nacelles in place of the plastic parts. The set is intended for more experienced modelers.
The Junkers Ju 88A-1 was an early production version of the versatile German twin-engine bomber of the Second World War. Both engines were liquid-cooled inverted V12 units and their exhaust stacks emerged in rows along the sides of the engine nacelles. These exhausts are among the striking and clearly visible features of the real machine.
Wash the parts free of mold release residue, separate them carefully from the casting blocks and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. Protect your airways when sanding resin. The exhausts come out once painted in dark metal and rusty shades and with the burnt edges brought out.
This is an accessory resin set, not a stand-alone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
