Responsibility details are not available.
A large-scale plastic kit of the Japanese twin-engine heavy fighter from the prestigious Super Wing Series of the Japanese maker Zoukei-Mura. The range is famous for models that capture the internal structure of the airframe and the engines as well - the build thus resembles putting together a real aircraft. This release concentrates on the Ko and Hei versions, which differed from one another above all in armament.
The Kawasaki Ki-45 Kai Toryu, meaning dragon slayer, was a two-seat twin-engine heavy fighter of the Imperial Japanese Army Air Force, given the Allied code name Nick. It entered service in 1942 and was used for escort, attack and fighter duties; at the end of the war it also found a role in the defense of the home islands against air raids. It was powered by radial engines, and the individual versions differed in the gun armament in the nose.
Divide the extensive kit into sub-assemblies (engines, cockpit, airframe) and keep checking the fit dry. It pays to paint the internal structure as you go. Spray the camouflage of the Imperial Japanese Army Air Force with dark green on the upper surfaces with an airbrush; fine mottled schemes call for low pressure and patience.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
